Butterhorn Rolls
2 pkg. yeast
1/4 c. warm water
1 Tbsp. sugar
2 c. warm water
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. oleo or lard
2 eggs
1 Tbsp. salt
6 to 7 c. flour
Mix first 3 ingredients in a large glass bowl. Mix until dissolved. Add rest, mixing for a couple of minutes or more. Let rise to double size. Divide into 4 portions and roll out each portion. Brush with butter. Cut into pie wedges and roll up. Let double again. Brush with butter. Bake at 375 until brown. Brush with butter. Makes about 5 dozen.
I use this dough recipe for dinner rolls, cinnamon rolls and any other bread recipe that I need.
